Introduction

Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) is the lead apex institution for community-driven development in the country.  Set up by the Government of Pakistan as an autonomous not-for-profit organization, PPAF enjoys facilitation and support from the Government of Pakistan, The World Bank, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), KfW Entwicklungsbank (Development Bank of Germany) and other statutory and corporate donors.  PPAF aims to be the catalyst for improving the quality of life, broadening the range of opportunities and socio-economic mainstreaming of the poor and disadvantaged, especially women. The core operating units of the PPAF deliver a range of development interventions at the grassroots/community level through a network of more than 125 Partner Organizations across the country.  These include social mobilization, support for livelihood, enterprise and employment, access to credit, skills development, infrastructure and energy, health, education and disaster management. Background

PPAF is engaged in different projects with international and national donors especially as well as with Government of Pakistan. As scope of PPAF’s activities are escalating with a passage of time, therefore, increased correspondence / communication with multiple donors, external and internal stakeholders is a growing challenge to handle. It demands high quality written communication that must be effective, efficient and in an organized manner to ensure timely responses.

 

Objectives

Individual consultant shall support CEO in handling the communication load of his secretariat including concept notes development, minutes of the meeting and other correspondence with various stakeholders. The consultant would enable PPAF to streamline and expedite important matters timely and efficiently. 

Scope of work

The Terms of Reference of the Consultant will include but not be limited to the following:

 

  • Development of concept notes, reports, written responses, presentations, preparation of minutes of meetings, handling of different matters requiring communication from the CEO secretariat.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholder for the timely preparation of various documents required by the CEO secretariat.
  • Facilitation in liaison with internal and external stakeholders, donors and Government of Pakistan.
  • Maintain and streamline correspondence related to CEO
  • To perform any other duties/functions assigned by CEO from time to time.

Qualification and Experience Requirements

Individual consultant should have at least 15 years of overall experience and must possess strong experience of liaison with multi sectoral organizations and offices. University degree in Business Administration/ Public Administration/ Economics and or relevant field. Excellent writing and interpersonal skills are required. Understanding of legal and general correspondence with miscellaneous national and international organizations.

Time Duration

Total time duration for the consultancy assignment shall be three (03) months.
