Shirakat – Partnership for Development, a national non-governmental organization working on gender equality and social justice.
We are looking for highly motivated and qualified Project Officers for a project to be implemented in Islamabad/Rawalpindi and Layyah-Project duration is 18 months
1. Major Responsibilities:
Project Officer is responsible to implement the project activities in close coordination with project participant
Ensure the registration of the required number of trainees for the training in the project locations.
Prepare monthly and weekly work plan
Manage project budget and inform management of any under or over spending of budget
Manage and supervise project activities through project life cycle
Interact with project donor to develop understanding of key deliverables of projects
Represent Organisation in monthly progress review meeting with the donor
Participate in development of project regarding program activities
Participate in the development and issuance of project procedures.
To coordinate and ensure timely completion of reports.
To provide input to Organisation management and Project Management Committee regarding project performance and status.
To help facilitate project-related meetings, including devising of agendas.
To actively manage project reports to ensure reports are delivered within time.
To document activities and report to communicate project findings and activities
To provide technical and management support to project team
Develop monthly expense forecast and submit to Finance department for smooth implementation.
Any other task assigned by Executive Director
2. Qualifications:
The following are the requirement for this position:
- MA / MSc (preferably Master’s in social sciences).
- Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in any well-reputed organization in: a) community mobilization; b) micro-entrepreneurship development; c) government linkages building; and d) sustainable livelihoods
- Computer Literate with Good command on MS Office.
- For both the locations Islamabad/Rawalpindi and Layyah local residents will be preferred.
3. Personal Skills:
- Good interpersonal and communication skill,
- Good command of written and spoken Urdu and English.
- Punjabi speaking will be preferred
- Ability to meet deadlines,
- Team player and problem-solving skill,
- Ability to work under pressure and gender sensitive,
- Honest and competent.
