Lead – Livelihoods

 

The incumbent will be responsible to ensure delivery of physical and financial targets of the programme in line with the approved work plan and budget with utmost compliance to organization and donor guidelines. The person will be overseeing review of implementing partner's detailed implementation plans, advance requests, financial forecasts, annual work plans and budgets for approval. He / She shall provide guidance to implementing partners and other programme staff on designing and implementation of livelihood interventions e.g.  training design and delivery, transfer of livelihood assets, assessments for tracking outcomes of livelihood interventions etc. Further, the position requires to provide technical backstopping to the grant managers in effective grant management and Partner Organization management. Building and managing relationships with skill development institutions, Partner Organizations, and community institutions will an integral part of the responsibilities. The job also entails ensuring documentation and reporting of all major activities occurring during the project life cycle.

The position would require to conduct quality review (in line with PIM) of payment requests, SoEs and other financial reports/documents received from  Partner Organizations. He / she shall also develop customized monitoring and data reporting / validation tools used at different levels regarding assets transfer and trainings and will review monitoring reports related to assets transfers and training. Further, person shall provide timely input regarding any corrective action to be taken.

 

REQUIREMENTS 

 

  • At least 16 years of education, preferably Masters in Project Management / Business Administration / Public Administration / Social Sciences or other relevant discipline from an HEC recognized institution. 
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant project management experience particularly of livelihood programmes with largescale foreign donor-funded development projects.
  • Understanding of financial budgeting, at least 03 years’ experience in leading the project team is essentially required.  
  • The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker, result oriented in approach, a strong decision maker, an exceptional team player with multi-tasking ability.
  • Must have collaborative management style to effectively lead a diverse team.
  • Proven track of successful relationship management with partner organizations, donors, government institutions, and other internal / external stakeholders. 
  • Excellent financial management skills including preparation for financial forecasts for programme interventions including review of financial statements submitted by the partner organizations is also required.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, report writing skills, ability to perform in fast-paced pressure environment with tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Willingness to extensively travel in the field cross Pakistan.
