Job Description:

Chemonics International seeks a qualified individual for the role of Team Leader for a multi-year DFID-funded programme based in Islamabad with operations in Punjab and KP provinces to improve tax collection and improve the business and trade environment to promote business growth and increased investment in Pakistan. Technical areas of support include tax policy, tax-related communications, investment promotion, business enabling environment regulatory reform, customs, trade facilitation and trade policy.

The Business Enabling Environment Component Lead will provide overall technical expertise and leadership related to the business enabling environment, including legal issues, private sector engagement, and public policy. He/she will report to the Team Leader.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master's degree or equivalent in Economics, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a relevant field
• Minimum 10 years of experience leading successful business development and investment policy, regulatory and legal reforms, and improving the business enabling environment
• Experience working on federal and provincial business regulation issues and interventions.
• Experience in working with the regulatory delivery unit of UK Department for Business, Energy, and Investment Strategy (BEIS).
• Prior work regarding the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) law and expanding access to ADR and commercial courts in all provinces.

• Proven success working with multiple and diverse stakeholders on international development programmes.
• Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
• Proficiency in English and Urdu required.
