Background

Chemonics seeks a team lead for the anticipated Department for International Development-funded Punjab Education Program (PEP). PEP supports the government of Punjab, Pakistan to deliver equitable access to better quality education through a range of interventions, including technical assistance to improve program delivery, capacity building to support institutional development, and policy reform. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee all aspects of the project
  • Manage a team of technical specialists to improve education in Punjab province
  • Lead the implementation of the project
  • Lead donor and home-office coordination and work planning
  • Work with relevant DFID, government, and Chemonics stakeholders
  • Ensure accurate internal and external reporting

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in education or a relevant field
  • Senior-level professional experience in the education sector in Pakistan or similar contexts
  • Experience working with government officials and vulnerable groups, including women, children, and individuals with disabilities
  • Prior experience with DFID-funded projects highly preferred
  • Specific sector experience in Punjab province highly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • Fluency in English required
