EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

For conducting a pilot study involving local manufacturing of microfeeders for large scale mills and Chakkis for Wheat flour fortification in Pakistan  

Proposals are invited from interested firms/organizations to participate in a pilot study involving local manufacturing of microfeeders for large scale mills and Chakkis for wheat flour fortification. The purpose of this initiative is to explore the local industry’s ability & competitiveness to manufacture the required quality microfeeders for mills and Chakkis to cater for current and future national and international demands.

Firms/organizations fulfilling the following requirements are eligible to participate:

• Past history of manufacturing microfeeders nationally and internationally to the following specifications and requirements:
  • Feed Rate: 0.25 gm/min to 120 gm/min with premix density: 860mg/ml
  • Accuracy: 1 to 2% full scale with uniform free-flowing materials
• Demonstrated track record in manufacturing, installation and commissioning micro feeder and provision of after-sales support capabilities including the provision of warranties, repairs and ongoing maintenance with the availability of stocks of spare parts
• Designing micro-feeders for different types of large scale Chakkis

Technical support will be provided to further build the capacity of the selected firms/organization for manufacturing the microfeeders.

The shortlisted firms/organizations are invited to manufacture and install microfeeders at selected locations for a certain period to monitor the performance of required parameters.
